Melissa’s Background in Sustainability

Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Times-7. With a Master's degree in Climate Change Science and Policy, focusing on sustainability in business and behavior change methods, Melissa understands the challenges and opportunities in this field. As a former business owner, she has firsthand experience in shifting business models towards more sustainable methods. She has successfully helped several companies create and implement sustainability policies, integrating environmentally friendly practices into their operations.

Scope of Work at Times-7

At Times-7, Melissa’s role is pivotal in driving our sustainability agenda. Here are some of the key projects:

Emissions Reporting:

Creating a baseline emissions report for year-on-year comparisons and set reduction targets, enabling Times-7 to make data-driven decisions to reduce our environmental impact.

ESG Policy Development:

Building on Times-7’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policy, that is values-aligned and addresses pertinent industry topics.

Regulatory Compliance:

Review EU legislation on carbon emissions for importers as part of Times-7’s position as a responsible and compliant industry leader and commitment to global sustainability standards.

Melissa believes that small changes can lead to significant impacts. Examples of small changes here at Times-7 include the continuous improvement in the following areas:

• Recycling inbound freight packaging materials
• Reducing packaging for outbound products
• Opting for sea freight over air freight to lower CO₂ emissions
